Ashley Beisiegel was only four years old when she was diagnosed with cancer. Her parents, Paul and April, were kind enough to share her journey with Drain for the Cure. Thanks to cancer research, April was able to try a new treatment that worked wonders! Last week, our employees purchased $1 votes to decide which supervisor would get a pie in the face, and our Sales Manager, Kyle Kocurek, was the lucky winner with over 600 votes! 🥧 Thanks to everyone’s participation, we raised more than $1,200 in just one week for Drain for the Cure! We couldn’t be more proud of our amazing team and their willingness to donate!

Let’s just say the four other supervisors on the ballot were pretty relieved they didn’t take the top spot this time! Kris Morgan had the least amount of votes on her name which gave her the honors of throwing the pie!🎗️

Karen Giberson, a Springfield Plastics employee, shares the courageous story of her best friend, April, who lost her fight against cancer in May 2024. April fought hard during her battle against breast cancer, even trying experimental treatments because they might help her daughters or someone else's daughter in the future. "Drain for the Cure is not just a fundraiser," Karen said. "It's not just something we do. It's hope. Drain for the Cure offers money for research; those experimental trials that April wanted to do are funded by research."
