Longevita Pilates & Yoga Studio, LLC., dba Longevita Wellness Studio We are a wellness studio providing a healthy approach to quality of life

At Longevita Pilates & Yoga Studio our mission is to bring positive change to each individual through Pilates, Yoga, Barre, TRX and other fitness regimes despite their current physical abilities or age. We want to enable our clients to find the best balance of strength, flexibility, coordination, and body awareness. This balance of mind and body allows our clients to improve their lifestyles and a

chieve their goals, be it fitness or rehabilitation with life changing results. We focus on functional fitness that will compliment any activity or fitness program/goals. Along with Pilates training, we feature exercises that mimic natural movements by combining strength, balance, and core in a way that typically leads to better muscular balance and joint stability. By incorporating Pilates and other fitness regimes, this can help our clients improve their cardiovascular fitness, lose weight, and continue rehabilitating after an injury.

As mothers and women, we often hold so much — the emotions of our
families, the needs of our communities, the quiet weight of being the ones
others turn to. In the rhythm of caring for everyone else, it can feel almost
impossible to pause and care for ourselves.
This Mother’s Day weekend, Longevita invites you to step into a
moment that is just for you.

Join us for a 2-hour breathwork journey guided by a certified breathwork
facilitator. Through intentional breath, music, and meditation, you’ll enter a
sanctuary designed to soften your edges, calm your nervous system, and
reconnect you with your inner wisdom.

As you move through guided breathing patterns and restorative rest, you’ll
be supported in gently releasing the emotional and energetic layers you’ve
been carrying. This experience is an invitation to remember your strength,
your intuition, and your innate capacity to heal. It is a moment to ground, to
breathe, and to come home to your authentic self.

Friday, May 8th 6:30-8:30pm

At Longevita, we believe wellness should support your life — not take it over.

That is why sometimes the best results come not from doing more, but from doing the right things consistently.

You’ve probably seen the phrase “dopamine detox” floating around social media lately.

It sounds dramatic. Maybe even trendy.

But what does it actually mean?

Let’s simplify it.

First — dopamine isn’t bad.

Dopamine is both a neurotransmitter and hormone that helps regulate motivation, focus, and reward. It’s one of the brain’s “feel-good” messengers.

You get small dopamine boosts when you:

- Finish a task
- Exercise
- Eat something satisfying
- Check your phone
- Hear a notification

You actually need dopamine to function.

True dopamine disorders are linked to medical conditions like Parkinson's disease — not everyday scrolling or loving your morning coffee.

So what are people really talking about when they say “dopamine detox”?

They’re usually talking about taking a break from constant stimulation.

Because here’s what happens…

When your brain is constantly chasing the next input — notifications, podcasts, caffeine, snacks, multitasking — your stress response can stay slightly elevated.

You may feel:
• Restless
• Scattered
• Tired but wired
• Unable to fully relax

And that impacts sleep, recovery, and hormone balance.

Especially if you’re a busy woman managing work, family, workouts, and trying to take care of yourself in the middle of it all.

Sometimes your nervous system just needs a reset.
Not extreme restriction.
Not silence for three days.
Just intentional space.

Here are simple, healthy ways to do that:

Phone-free mornings: Wait 20–30 minutes before checking messages or social media.

Single-tasking: One thing at a time. Finish it. Then move on. (this is what I am working on....)

Real breaks: Step outside. Walk. Breathe. No phone in your hand. (I do this with Olivia...it works!)

Fuel your brain: Balanced meals with protein and healthy fats support steady dopamine production and stable energy.

This isn’t about eliminating joy.

It’s about reducing noise so you can actually hear yourself think.

Sometimes the most important input is your own inner voice — and if it’s constantly drowned out by stimulation, you might miss something important.

(Ask me how I know that )

At Longevita, we care about the whole picture — strength, sleep, nervous system health, and building a life that lets you Love. Life. Longer.

Cheering you on,

Shelia,

If I’m walking the walk, I’ll share mine too.

Three values guiding me this year are connection, community, and health—and they influence how I move, how I work, and how I lead Longevita every day.

Here’s to building a year rooted in purpose, not pressure.

🪞My word for 2026 is Focused—because there are so many distractions pulling at our attention right now, and I want a steady reminder to keep my energy on what truly matters: my health, my people, my purpose, and this beautiful Longevita community.

Not a resolution.
Not a long to-do list.

Just a word that helps guide how you move, how you care for yourself, how you show up—in your body, your relationships, your work, and your life.
