Today at Village Concepts of Auburn we celebrated the end of August with a water party! 💦🎉 Our memory care residents, family members, and our amazing team joined in the fun. With the residents armed with sq**rt guns and water balloons the team didn't stand a chance!🤣

🌺 The theme of the summer at our Village Concepts Communities is definitely Aloha! 🌴 Our team at Village Concepts of Sedro-Woolley hosted their annual summer BBQ — Hawaiian-style! Everyone dressed to impress in colorful Hawaiian shirts and leis, and the residents even performed a fun chair hula dance. Check out some of the highlights below!

We had a wonderful performance by the Wahine Hula group Village Concepts of Auburn! They performed a traditional Hawaiian dance and music for us 🌺✨ Fun side note: "Wahine" is the Polynesian word for "Woman". Enjoy these beautiful photos!

Join us next Tuesday, September 3rd, at The Brewmaster's Taproom for our Memory Café, hosted by Village Concepts of Fairwood! ☕💜 Whether you’re a caregiver, family member, or part of the memory care community, this is a welcoming place for support, resources, and connection. More details below!

Mark your calendar, next Tuesday, 9/2, is our second memory cafe from 1-3 pm. This community event is geared towards those in a memory care journey, be it as caregivers, relatives or patients themselves. No purchase is necessary, we just want to hold space for those who maybe need to talk or relax among those in similar situations. We have partnered with Village Concepts Communities who will be providing lights refreshments and well as offering information.

🎉 Village Concepts of Milton hosted an amazing car show with the Gig Harbor Cruisers! Residents took a "cruise" down memory lane as they spent the afternoon with some pretty cool vintage cars and their owners 😍. Our day included a virtual trip around several countries in Africa, a delicious meal of African Bean Stew, East African Mango Cucumber Salad, and Fried Plantains. Our friends from Village Concepts of Fairwood host a monthly Memory Care Café at The Brewmaster's Taproom 🍻. Residents join patrons for a round of bingo and some delicious root beer. This monthly event brings our memory care community together with neighbors and friends for meaningful connection, fun, and friendship. We can't wait to do it again next month! 💜

We hosted our annual National Night Out BBQ at Village Concepts of Auburn! Our residents and team had a great time hanging out with the Valley Regional Fire Authority (our new neighbors!), Battalion Chief Kevin Morehart, Councilmember Lisa Stirgus, and several other members of the City of Auburn. Thank you to everyone who joined us, we love being part of our Auburn community! ❤️

Summers at Village Concepts of Port Angeles are the best! ☀️ Our residents love strolling the walking paths of our 7 acres of park-like grounds and our shaded courtyard is the perfect place to chat with friends or have a BBQ picnic. Marketing Director Anthony says they often spot deer wandering through or blue heron taking a dip in their fish pond! If you stop by for a visit, don't forget to check out our majestic fountain (it's spectacular)! ⛲😍

We had a wonderful time with our favorite kiddos from Little Jack's Pre-K as we celebrated a special graduation ceremony held just for our residents at Village Concepts of Auburn! 🎓💐 The morning included a walk through their garden, stopping for a moment at the tribute wall honoring a classmate they lost to cancer earlier this year, and some time swinging in their magical "fairy garden." 🧚‍♀️

🎉 Today, we celebrated National Drive-Thru Day! We had a rockin' good time with our friends from Little Jack's Corner, featuring a sock hop dance and delicious fountain soda treats! Our residents shared their stories with the kids about what life was like in the 1950s. But the fun didn’t stop there! We also enjoyed a drive-thru themed lunch complete with cheeseburgers, fries, and ice cream sodas! 🍔🍟🍦

Our residents had a fabulous visit last week with our friend Addy and her beautiful dog, Lily! 🐾 Addy shared wonderful stories about training her Bernese Mountain Dogs and taking them to different shows. We always love it when they visit! 🥰
