This week, we witnessed a moment that reminds us why we do this work—reuniting someone we support with long-lost family. Moments like these don’t happen by accident. They happen because of dedicated staff who go the extra mile, ask the hard questions, make the calls, follow the leads, and never give up.

At Happy Haven, we pride ourselves on employing people who see beyond services and paperwork—people who see human stories, missing pieces, and possibility. Our team believes that connection matters, that family matters, and that everyone deserves the chance to reclaim relationships that bring meaning, identity, and belonging.

Today was more than a reunion.
It was healing.
It was hope restored.

This summer has certainly kept us on our feet — starting with an amazing trip to the Maine State House! 🏛️ Happy Haven had the chance to tour the building, walk through its historic halls, and learn more about Maine’s government and history. It was an inspiring and educational day, reminding us how important it is to stay connected with the places and stories that shape our community.
