City of Auburn/Cayuga County Homeless Task Force

City of Auburn/Cayuga County Homeless Task Force of Housing and Urban Development since July, 2004. The merger has presented great opportunities for our community to address, prevent and end homelessness.

The City of Auburn/Cayuga County HTF meets regularly to bring local homeless and housing providers together to discuss and coordinate strategic planning, prevention and services to address homelessness and housing vulnerability in our community. Beginning in 2002 and continuing through the present, HUD Continuum of Care (CoC) and the Auburn/Cayuga County Homeless Task Force planning for coordination of needs, activities, and funding for homeless services has resulted in the preparation of CoC funding applications for homeless programs and have been submitted annually to US Dept. The City of Auburn/Cayuga County Homeless Task Force is a local community network of public, private, and non-profit partners, committed to ending homelessness in Cayuga County. The City of Auburn Planning & Economic Development Department serves as the City of Auburn/ Cayuga County Homeless Task Force Chair and is the liaison to the NY-505 Continuum of Care (CoC). In June 2016, the City of Auburn/ Cayuga County Continuum of Care NY-502 merged with the Housing and Homeless Coalition of Central NY Continuum of Care NY-505.
