As we step into a new year, I’m reflecting on 2025 with so much gratitude.🥰

To every family who trusted me and invited me into their birth space this year—thank you.

Thank you for allowing me to be a part of your birth stories—for the quiet strength, the vulnerability, the joy, the tears, and the incredible love that fills the room when a baby arrives. Being invited into these spaces is an honor I never take it lightly, and I’m endlessly thankful for each client who has chosen me to walk alongside them. Your trust means everything.

As we welcome 2026, my heart is full of hope, and excitement for all that’s ahead. Here’s to new beginnings, growing families, and the continued privilege of supporting and serving in such meaningful moments. Cheers to a beautiful year to come.

Back labor by itself cannot harm the baby or the mother.
However, research shows that a baby in an undesirable position in the womb (the most common cause of back labor) is more likely to experience difficulty descending through the birth canal leading to interventions and complications that include:

💙Need for pain medication if the mother had not received any previously
🩷Prolonged labor putting the mother at increased risk for fatigue
💙Use of forceps or vacuum-assisted birth
🩷Need for an episiotomy
💙Cesarean delivery

When meeting a new little one, remember:
🧼 Wash your hands (every time!)
😷 Stay home if you’re feeling even a little under the weather
💉 Make sure your vaccines are up to date (especially Tdap + flu)
🚫 Skip kissing baby’s face or hands — those germs travel fast
💤 And always follow what the parents are comfortable with
