💙 Support Solutions + Hannaford: A Community Partnership! 💙

We’re thrilled to share that Hannaford has selected Support Solutions as a beneficiary of their Community Bag Program for the entire month of November!

Every time a $2.50 reusable Community Bag is purchased at the Hannaford located at 95 Spring Street in Auburn, $1 will be donated directly to Support Solutions — helping us continue to provide meaningful support and opportunities for the individuals we serve.

The Hannaford Community Bag Program makes it simple for shoppers to make a difference close to home. So grab a bag (or a few!) and let your everyday groceries give back to your community.

Last Friday, our halls came alive in the most spooktacular way! What was once an ordinary hallway was transformed into a world of eerie enchantment — draped in ghostly figures cobwebbed corners, floating witch hats, and sights straight out of a Halloween dream. The gym was no exception, fully reimagined as a hauntingly perfect scene from The Nightmare Before Christmas — a true masterpiece thanks to the incredible creativity and dedication of our one and only, Sarah Martin. It truly felt like stepping into the movie itself!

A huge thank you to every single person who lent a hand in bringing this Halloween magic to life — from decorating and setting the mood, to those who stayed later into the night to enjoy karaoke, dinner, and laughter with friends. 💜

Because of you, the individuals we support experienced the kind of joy, wonder, and connection that this season is all about. You gave them a night they’ll remember — and one they truly deserve!

📍 Lewiston & Auburn, ME
📅 Full-Time | $19.50/hr
💼 Non-Supervisory | Hourly | Non-Exempt

As a DSP Team Lead, you'll wear many hats: mentor, motivator, caregiver, and guide. You'll work hands-on in our residential programs while helping ensure quality care, support for fellow staff, and smooth day-to-day operations.

✨ What You’ll Do:
*Provide direct support to individuals in residential settings
*Assist with medication administration, appointments, and documentation
*Support staff training and ensure compliance during licensing reviews
*Help address safety, behavioral, and transportation concerns
*Communicate supply needs and attend staff meetings
*Balance frontline care with light administrative duties

✅ Qualifications:
*High school diploma, HiSET, or GED
*One year of DSP or equivalent experience required
*Excellent communication and teamwork skills
*Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and agency software
*Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and authorization to work in the U.S.

This past Wednesday was an activity night filled with paint, pumpkins, and plenty of smiles! 🎨 Our wonderful members let their creativity shine—designing everything from spooky to silly, colorful to classic!

From action shots of paintbrushes in motion to big grins proudly holding up finished masterpieces, it was a night that reminded us of the joy found in simple moments shared together. 🧡

✨ Camp Tall Pines 2025 – What a Weekend! ✨

This past Saturday and Sunday, our annual camping trip at Camp Tall Pines was one for the books! From the scavenger hunt and countless rounds of BINGO, to a little friendly rivalry of corn hole, the mouthwatering meals, and sweet treats--every moment was truly enjoyed by all! Even the chilly night couldn’t dim the fun as it only made the campfire that much warmer, and the memories that much brighter!🔥

💚 A HUGE thank you to everyone who volunteered to make this a weekend to remember! All of your dedication to make this camping tradition so special, and to create memories that last an entire lifetime!

There’s nothing we love more than seeing the people we support enjoying life to the fullest, and this past weekend was proof of just that. Smiles, laughter, and campfire magic—what more could we ask for?

🌟 A Special Thank You! 🌟

We may be a little late in posting this, but we couldn’t let it go unsaid—a HUGE thank you to Osman’s wonderful wife for the absolutely delicious African food she made for our amazing staff at our BBQ! 🥘

Her incredible cooking was such a highlight of the day and so deeply appreciated by everyone. It added a special touch that made our celebration even more meaningful. Thank you for sharing your talent and love through food with us—it was truly unforgettable! ❤️

🎉✨ DSP APPRECIATION BBQ RECAP! ✨🎉

On Wednesday, at our Main Office, we turned up the fun for our incredible DSPs – and wow, what a day! 🌭🍔 From delicious eats to the echoing laughter through rounds of Trivia and our very own Price is Right: Support Solutions style, the energy was contagious! Another one of our favorite moments? Watching staff and the amazing people we support go head-to-head in co****le battles! 🌽🎯 The smiles, the teamwork, and the friendly competition made it even more special.

We LOVED seeing everyone rocking their fresh Support Solutions swag – you all looked amazing! 💙👕 A few photos are posted here so you can catch a glimpse of all the BBQ shenanigans, and all the fun that was had! 📸
