Gentle chiropractic care (especially atlas (C1) adjustments) can help support a newborn’s nervous system from the very start. When the top bone in the neck is properly aligned, it allows for better communication between the brain and body… and that can make a huge difference in how your baby feels.

Dr. Chloe had the privilege of adjusting this 1 week old precious little guy to help with the baby stuck in a head tilt favoring one side more than the other. A quick lumbar adjustment also helped with better digestion, often resulting in an immediate diaper change before leaving the office, like today! She has adjusted babies as young as 2 days old, so there is never too early of a time to get your baby checked!

CHIROPRACTIC & PREGNANCY 🤰🏼

We have had a LOT of pregnant patients lately, so let’s dive into what benefits chiropractic care can have on a pregnant mama! The main complaint from pregnant patients after the first trimester tends to be pelvic/SI joint pain & sciatica. This is due to the uterus growing in size, causing a rotated sacrum often times putting pressure on the sciatic nerve.

Dr. Chloe often uses a combination of Webster & Thompson techniques to release round ligaments & de-rotate the sacrum back in alignment. Patients often have an immediate relief of sciatic type pain and/or low back pain when leaving the office.

All of our tables have an abdominal drop piece to provide a comfortable space for the belly to lay while laying prone. Adjustments can also be performed laying supine on patients uncomfortable with a prone position.

Adjustments can also help with:
• Relieves common pregnancy pain (low back, hips, pelvis, neck)
• Improves pelvic alignment for better baby positioning
• May support easier pregnancy and potentially smoother labor
• Reduces sciatic nerve pain and leg discomfort

We had a college student present with symptoms of frequent passing out and a diagnosis of POTS. Over the course of her care plan, she has not had another episode since starting consistent chiropractic care! Read below to see the relationship between POTS & a regulated nervous system!
