Nemaha County Hospital

Nemaha County Hospital Critical Access Hospital NCH has always offered the promise of "Quality Care... Every Time" and they have kept their word through generations.

Nemaha County Hospital (NCH) first opened its doors on Sunday, April 28, 1963, welcoming area residents and dignitaries not only into a new building filled with state-of-the-art technology, but into a new era of healthcare. Our Mission is to continuously advance healthcare in Nemaha County. We are pleased that our staff and area physicians support this goal on a daily basis.

Happy Halloween! Before you head out for tricks and treats, keep these safety tips in mind to ensure a fun and safe night for everyone:

🎃 Be seen: Choose costumes that are bright, reflective, and easy to move in.
🎃 Check your treats: Wait until you’re home to inspect all candy for any signs of tampering.
🎃 Stay on the path: Use sidewalks and crosswalks, and always look both ways before crossing.
🎃 Light the way: Carry glow sticks or LED accessories to help you stay visible.
🎃 Stick together: Trick-or-treat in groups or with a trusted adult.

Have a fun and safe Halloween!

Fall is the perfect time to refresh your routine, and one of the best ways to boost your physical, mental, and social health is by getting involved in your local community. Whether you’re volunteering, attending a local event, or simply supporting a neighborhood initiative, these moments of connection and purpose make a real difference.

We believe true wellness goes beyond appointments and prescriptions. It’s about living well, together. When you get involved, you stay active, reduce stress, and build meaningful connections that support your well-being.

So this season, take a step toward better health and a stronger community. Check your local Chamber of Commerce website for upcoming events and ways to give back—you’ll feel good doing it.

Today is World Mental Health Day, and we want to remind everyone that it’s okay to not be okay. Reaching out for help is a sign of strength, not weakness.

If you or someone you know is struggling:
1. Talk to someone: A friend, family member, or professional can provide support.
2. Seek professional help: Therapists, counselors, and doctors are here to help you navigate tough times.
3. Call or text 988: The Su***de & Crisis Lifeline is available 24/7, providing confidential support and connection to resources.

You are valued. You are loved. There is always hope. Let’s continue to care for one another and create a community where everyone feels safe to seek help. 💚
