🌍👁️ Happy World Optometry Day! 👁️🌍
Today, we recognize the vital role optometrists play in protecting and preserving vision health in our communities.

From early detection of eye disease to helping patients see clearly and live fully, optometrists are on the front lines of healthcare—improving quality of life every single day.

Here in MA, we are especially grateful for our dedicated OD community whose expertise, compassion, and commitment make a lasting impact on patients and families across the Commonwealth.

👏 Thank you for all that you do to keep Massachusetts seeing its best!

🏆 Victory: “Not a Doctor” Bills Officially Defeated in Legislative Session
A direct threat to your credentials has been stopped in its tracks.
✅ The “Not a Doctor” bills are dead for this session — officially killed before they could cause harm to the profession
🎯 Framed as “truth-in-advertising” legislation, these bills contained language that could have wrongly targeted and mischaracterized the doctoral credentials of Doctors of Optometry
👀 MSO caught this early — engaging Beacon Hill lawmakers before any damage could be done, ensuring legislators fully understood the rigorous education, training, and vital healthcare role of Massachusetts Doctors of Optometry
⚠️ This is why vigilance matters — even neutrally worded bills can carry serious consequences for your practice and your patients
