Women of Echelon Health and Fitness Leah Pileggi
As part of our Women of Echelon series celebrating Women’s History Month, we’re proud to highlight one of the incredible women who helps make our community so special.
Originally from Philadelphia and raised in South Jersey, Leah has always had a passion for fitness and helping others. With a background in hospitality and healthcare, she has dedicated much of her life to supporting and serving people. In addition to being a fitness instructor, she is also a Reiki Master and Meditation Coach, helping others find balance in both their physical and mental well-being.
Leah has been part of the Echelon community for 9 years, and her positive impact can be felt by everyone around her.
Fitness has always been part of her life, but what inspires her most is the belief that we can all take an active role in our own healing and well-being. Throughout her journey, she has had incredible mentors who guided and supported her, and that inspired her to give the same encouragement back to others.
She shared that fitness has helped her tremendously physically, mentally, and emotionally. Over time, she has learned how to better understand her body, her energy, and what she needs to feel balanced. Fitness has also been a powerful outlet that has helped her navigate challenging days.
One accomplishment she is most proud of is supporting others in their own journeys. Seeing someone gain confidence and realize they are capable of more than they thought is the most rewarding part of what she does.
She also credits the Echelon community for being such a supportive environment. The trust, teamwork, and encouragement from leadership, fellow team members, and members create a space where everyone lifts each other up.
At almost 52 years old, her family continues to be a major source of motivation. She strives to be a positive role model for her children and younger family members, showing them that taking care of your body and staying active benefits you at every stage of life.
Her advice for women thinking about starting their fitness journey is simple and powerful:
Start with compassion and love for yourself.
Care for your body through movement, breath, and mindfulness. Start small, move in ways that feel good, and allow the process to grow naturally.
To Leah, strength means resilience—showing up even on the hard days, caring for yourself so you can support your loved ones, and continuing to grow through every stage of life.
What she loves most about Echelon?
The community. Seeing members feel welcomed, inspired, and supported every day is what makes being part of Echelon so special.
Jeff Quinn, COO & Managing Partner of Echelon Health & Fitness, shared:"Leah is laser-focused on our members and her instructors. She brings an incredible level of care, professionalism, and heart to everything she does. The energy and support she creates in her classes truly represent what the Echelon community is all about."
