Kelly Blackwell, MA, CCC-SLP is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist located in Central Maine.

Kelly graduated from the University of Maine with a Bachelor of Arts in 2010, and a Master of Arts in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2012. She has received her Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Hearing Association (ASHA), and maintains annual membership through the completion of continued education/training in the field of speech pathology. Dax is always excited to attend sessions, and greets this clinician with a big smile! This client loves participating in play-based therapy activities, including: coloring, board games, bowling, and the remote control bus! Dax works hard, and has met several speech sound goals since beginning speech therapy. Recent sessions have targeted accurate productions of ‘sh’, ‘ch’, and s-clusters.

Emily has always been excited to attend therapy sessions, and enjoys participating in a variety of play-based therapeutic activities, including: crafts, board games, and sensory bins.

This client has made significant gains with the production of a variety of age-appropriate speech sounds, helping to improve the overall intelligibility of her speech across contexts and listeners.

Emily is kind, helpful, hard-working, and full of joy and excitement. I will miss her, but also very proud of all that she has accomplished during our time together in speech therapy. 🩷

Tommy comes to sessions excited and ready to learn and play! While targeting various goals/objectives, this client enjoys using many play-based therapy materials, including: sensory bins, board games, iPad, and Pokémon toys/books.

Tommy has made steady gains in therapy, mastering many target speech sounds, to include, /k, g, s, z, sh, ch/. This client continues to improve in accuracy for /l/ and l-blends, and is beginning to imitate models/teaching for /r/ and ‘th’ sounds.

Tommy is a joy to work with— kind, polite, funny, and hard working!

🌟December Speech Star🌟

Colton attends therapy with excitement and enjoys participating in a variety of play-based therapy activities, including: crafts, board games, and the iPad.

This client is making steady gains with /r/ and vocalic /R/ productions at the word-, phrase-, and sentence-levels. Therapy also frequently utilizes classroom materials (e.g., reading, writing, and spelling) to target /r/ productions in various contexts, and to aide in the carry-over of these skills.

These days are always bittersweet! Joeanna attended her weekly sessions with excitement, and enjoyed utilizing many play-based therapy activities, including: coloring, crafts, board games, and iPad games.

This client made steady gains, and recently met all of her therapy goals, to include: ‘l’, ‘r’, l-blends, and r-blends. These mastered speech sound skills have carried over to success in the classroom with communication, reading, spelling, and writing.

This kiddo is kind, funny, creative, and very artistic. When I asked how she felt about graduating, Joeanna said, ‘I’m happy AND sad.’ I agree! Great work, Jo! 🩷
