Patient Ambassador, Amara McNair & Mother: Casey McNair with Dr. Badamosi

The Children's Hospital of Georgia Ambassador Program serves as a vehicle to create awareness of and support for our hospital. Every family we serve has a story, and our Ambassador Program is compiled of families who want to share about the positive experience and unmatched care they received while here. Ambassadors provide stories of hope to families who are in the midst of similar challenges and of comfort to families who never know when they might need our incredible caregivers. As every story reveals just how vital the Children’s Hospital of Georgia is to our community and beyond, their stories also provide an inspiration that leads to a motivation to support.

As a not-for-profit hospital, the financial support of our community is necessary for us to continue to provide the best care and to provide our healthcare team the tools needed to support that care. Whether it is sharing their story with us for social media, a partner visit, a campaign kick-off event, or our annual iHeartMedia Cares for Kids Radiothon, our ambassador families make a powerful difference every time they share about their experience at the Children’s Hospital of Georgia.

It is Sickle Cell Awareness Month. We want to do our best to flood your timeline. With it being a disease that doesn't effect the global majority, not many in predominate European countries are aware of sickle cell disease. Not to mention all the various treatments, medications, appointments, and preventative measures medical teams take as standard of care.
