Around the World with Our Residents!
Each week we are celebrating a different part of the world, exploring unique cultures, traditions, and fun with our residents and we’d love for you to join in!

Next week: Brazil!
Bring in your Brazilian accessories to help us decorate and celebrate. We’re especially looking for:
-Soccer gear - Jerseys (Brazil team colors: yellow, green, blue), mini soccer nets or cones, scarves or flags, pennants or team banners
-Toucan or parrot décor
-Jungle touches – ivy, vines, tropical flowers
-Beachy vibes – hats, sunglasses, flip-flops
-Festival flair – plaid shirts, straw hats
-Samba & Sparkle
Your contributions will help bring the energy, color, and joy of Brazil to life for our residents.

Our residents came together to show gratitude and remembrance on Patriot Day.
With heartfelt words and warm smiles, they shared their appreciation for the bravery and sacrifices of so many. It was a touching reminder of the strength, unity, and resilience that continue to guide our nation

Pie Raffle Winner!
Thank you to everyone who supported our Pie Raffle! The drawing was held with the help of Karen Taylor, Personal Care Worker at SilverLeaf Assisted Living, Michelle Pawlak, Activity Director, and Jane Ball, Treasurer of the Nursing Home Auxiliary.

Congratulations to Jan Solie, winner of a pie a month for a year!

And a special thank you to Karen Taylor for organizing the pie raffle and being our amazing pie baker!

Assisted Living Week is here, and we kicked off our first “Ageless Adventure” with a trip to Mexico!
Michelle, our amazing Director of Activities, rolled out her themed cart full of fun, flavor, and festive spirit. Residents created beautiful tissue flowers in honor of Día de los Mu***os, while Michelle kept the energy alive with maracas and a vibrant Day of the Dead outfit.
Staff and residents alike enjoyed food and fun all week long as we celebrated Assisted Living Week together.

It’s Assisted Living Week, and we’re celebrating our amazing team at SilverLeaf Assisted Living! We shared donuts and goodie bags as a small way to show how much we appreciate them. Please join us in thanking our wonderful staff for all they do each day for our residents!

Sadly, due to a current respiratory illness outbreak, we have made the difficult decision to cancel this year’s event. We were so excited to host our First Annual Fall Fair and share this new tradition with our residents, families, and community.
The health and safety of our residents and guests will always come first. While we are saddened by this change, we look forward to celebrating together in the future when it is safe to do so.
