Wellstar MCG Health AirCare Wellstar MCG Health AirCare is a hospital-based air ambulance service base out of Augusta Georgia. AirCare currently flys an EC145.

AirCare is dedicated to bringing Level 1 trauma, Comprehensive Stroke, premiere Heart and Vascular care, dedicated pediatric and Neonate care to our patients. AirCare is able to deliver these highly recognized services because we are the first and only hospital-based flight program in the region. Our skilled flight clinicians are hospital employees who work hand in hand with leading program physicians to deliver the most up-to-date, evidence-based treatments. The EC145 is known in the aviation and HEMS communities for size, speed, range, and safety. One of the largest helicopters available in the civilian world the space and access to critical patients in flight is one of the most important features. There is also ample room for our teammates at CHOG to transport pediatric and neonatal patients in a specialized transport isolate. The 145 has an average cruise speed of 150 mph and a range of around 170 miles we can reach most parts of Georgia and South Carolina. Our EC145 features unmatched safety features for our crews including state of art night vision goggles, autopilot, enhanced GPS with flight planning, and state-of-the-art satellite flight tracking. Augusta University Health has partnered with Metro Aviation. Metro is the premier aviation provider for hospital-based flight programs in the country operating over 140 aircraft for 39 programs in 25 states. Pursuant to FAA Reauthorization Act of 2018
