Founded in 1971 by Dr. Harry Sherman, Augusta Surgical Group continues to be the largest and oldest general surgery group in Augusta. Comprised of five general surgeons, the group practices primarily at University Hospital, providing a broad spectrum of general surgery services. The members of Augusta Surgical Group are committed to providing excellent surgical care utilizing advanced laparoscopy, the newest techniques in breast cancer and breast cancer surgery, and traditional hernia repair methods.

📌 Join Our Team – Medical Receptionist

We are looking for a Medical Receptionist to be the welcoming face of our practice and support our healthcare team.

Responsibilities:
    •    Greet and assist patients with a warm and professional attitude
    •    Answer phones, schedule appointments, and manage patient check-in/check-out
    •    Maintain accurate patient records and update information as needed
    •    Handle insurance verification and basic billing support
    •    Assist with other administrative duties to keep the office running smoothly

Qualifications:
    •    Previous medical office or receptionist experience preferred (but not required)
    •    Strong communication and customer service skills
    •    Ability to multitask in a busy office environment
    •    Proficiency with computers and scheduling systems
    •    A team player with a positive and professional demeanor
