Celebrating Our Activity Professionals! 🤠👻🔨🎨🎤🎬🐐🚜🍎

In honor of National Activity Professionals Day today and National Activity Professionals Week January 26-30, we are proud to recognize this incredible Life Enrichment team for the heart, creativity, and dedication they bring to our Home every day.

Through our Small House Model, they bring the community center to life—filling Main Street, the theater, the Veterans’ Club, and common areas throughout the Home with engaging, meaningful experiences that create connection and joy.

They also plan special outings and host many events in collaboration with our community partners, giving our residents opportunities to stay connected to the world around them and enjoy new experiences beyond our walls.

🎄🎶 2nd Annual Resident Choir Christmas Concert 🎶🎄

Our Main Street was filled with music, joy, and Christmas cheer as our Resident Choir gathered for our 2nd annual Christmas Concert! Residents, families, and team members joined together for an afternoon of carols and community. ❤️

A very special thank-you to Mr. & Mrs. Santa Claus, who joined in on the fun and stayed afterward for photos — making the event magical for everyone 🌟

🎄✨ We held our Staff Christmas Party last week, and it was an all-day celebration filled with great food, festive games, and plenty of prizes! Not just any games, of course, these were reindeer games—complete with antlers for all who joined in.

The food was a hit—30 pounds of mac and cheese and 15 pounds of meatballs kept everyone well fed—and a special thank you to Jake, our Administrator and MVH COO for rolling up his sleeves and helping prepare the meal. 💪

This celebration was a small token of appreciation for our incredible team and all they do each day. We’re so grateful for you. Happy holidays! ❤️🎁

🎄✨Our lobby was filled with holiday cheer during our annual tree lighting ceremony! With a countdown led by our Life Enrichment Director, Mona, Residents used their “magic” to bring this beautiful Christmas tree to life, illuminating the space and kicking off the season in the most joyful way.

The celebration continued with holiday music, hot chocolate, and delicious treats. This magnificent tree has been shining brightly in our lobby to be enjoyed by all through the season. 🌟❄️

We were honored to welcome representatives from Maine State Prison Showroom for a special gift presentation. Through their creativity, teamwork, and generosity, MSP residents raised money for the supplies and then handcrafted these beautiful gifts for our Veterans.

Thank you to MSP for this kindness and for recognizing our Veterans. We are grateful to be on the receiving end of your talents which brought our residents so much joy. We wish you all a very Merry Christmas! 🎄💚

The Maine Department of Corrections recently joined us for their Third Annual Wreath Presentation to our Home. We are grateful for their continued tradition of honoring our Veterans during the holiday season. 🤝💚

✨🎄 Our Annual Christmas Shop is a tradition our residents look forward to every year. They get to browse a beautiful selection of gifts and choose presents for their loved ones — all completely free to them. 🎅

Santa’s helpers wrap each gift with care, making it easy for our residents to share these thoughtful surprises when family members stop in to visit.

A huge thank you to the American Legion Auxiliary for sponsoring this wonderful event! ❤️🎁
