🎓We are proudly celebrating the largest CNA graduating class at MVH Augusta so far — 14 graduates! 👏

Family, friends, staff, and residents gathered to honor these dedicated individuals who have completed their training and are now ready to provide compassionate, hands-on care for those who served.

We are so proud of each of you and excited to see the incredible difference you will make in the lives of our Veterans and their families. 🦅❤️🤍💙

🚗 Our Antique Car Show had everyone's smile on cruise control! We enjoyed awesome cars 🏁, live music by Ron Bergeron 🎶, and delicious burgers & hot dogs grilled by our very own dietary staff 🌭🍔.

It was a wonderful day spent in community with our residents and those who joined us. Thank you to all who brought their beautiful cars, volunteered, performed, and joined us to make this event so special. 💙

🐴❤️ We had some very special visitors! Residents lit up with smiles as they got to meet, pet, and spend time with these beautiful horses, decked out with braided manes and patriotic ribbons.

The visit brought joy, connection, and a little extra sunshine to our day. A big thank you to everyone who made this memorable afternoon possible. 💙

Please join us in congratulating Normand Bosse, our newly elected Resident Council President! 🗳️🎉

Resident Council plays an important role in life at MVH—it gives residents a voice in decisions that affect their daily lives, helps plan activities, and brings forward ideas and feedback to ensure the Home continues to meet the needs of all who live here.

Normand proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1951–1952, including combat in Korea as an assistant gunner. He was recognized for his service with several honors, including a Presidential Citation and commendations from the Republic of South Korea.

We’re grateful for Normand’s leadership and look forward to all he’ll bring to this role!

⚾ Our residents enjoyed an outing to the Portland Sea Dogs game on July 13 for Military Appreciation Day. We had loads of sunshine, great food, and even got a shout-out during the 4th inning! 🌭🍔☀️

Our Second Annual Motorcycle Rally was awesome!

Despite shifting to Sunday due to rain, the bikes rolled in strong for our Veterans. We had great food, live music, raffles, and even a few rides. 🎶🍔🎁

We’re excited to announce that the last weekend of June will be the official date moving forward — always scheduled for Saturday, with a Sunday rain date.

See you all next year! 🙌

🎲✨ On June 25th, MVH Augusta turned into a mini Vegas thanks to the Augusta Elks #964, who hosted a lively Casino Night for our residents!

From card games to roulette, there was fun and laughter all around. The event was such a hit that both residents and Elks members agreed to make it a quarterly tradition—we can’t wait to welcome them back in October!

Note that due to the rainy forecast for Saturday, this event has been moved to Sunday.

We're revving up for an unforgettable day with live music by Flashback, fabulous food trucks, and an amazing community of supporters!

All donations will benefit the MVH Resident Activities Fund and the Honor and Remember New England Chapter in support of Gold Star Families.
