We have a bunch of new faces in the DFCM! From left to right: Dr. Jennifer Brown, Dr. Tony Berardi, Dr. Jennifer Nelson, and Dr. Linda Bartlett.

Dr. Brown is joining us as the new Associate Director for Medical Student Education. Her clinical interests include Women’s Health, Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine, and Lifestyle and Preventive Medicine. We are excited to have her on the team!

Dr. Berardi is one of our own, completing our Family & Community Medicine Residency program earlier this year. We’re thankful for continuing to work with him and the incredible work he does for our patients and learners.

Dr. Nelson is the new Associate Program Director for our residency! Previously, she served as Core Faculty at Eisenhower Army Medical Center and Assistant Professor at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences. She has been teaching and mentoring learners throughout her career, and we know she will be a great fit in the DFCM!

Dr. Barlett is joining us as our Primary Care Rural Health Fellow with extensive clinical experience in both pediatric and adult care. Her distinguished career includes work with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), UNICEF, and a faculty appointment at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. We are excited to see the work she does in this unique position!

Welcome (back) to the DFCM Dr. Berardi, this time as faculty! He is a 2025 graduate of our residency program, and we are excited to have him on board!

His clinical interests include diabetes to heart failure to everything in between. Dr. Berardi has a fond interest in teaching medical students and residents to help foster the next generation of physicians. His background in exercise and nutrition gives him a unique skill to educate and guide patients to improve their lives.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Berardi spends time with his cat, Athena, and fuels her catnip addiction. He regularly practices Brazilian jiu-jitsu, loves anime, lifting heavy objects and putting them back down, and video games.
