🌟 Meet the Staff Monday! 🌟

This week, we’re delighted to introduce Debra Stewart, our full-time Chaplain here at St. John Towers!

As Chaplain, Debra provides a compassionate presence and spiritual support to our entire community — including residents, staff, and care partners. Her ministry includes one-on-one conversations, prayer, and spiritual care, both here and in hospitals or rehab facilities. She also coordinates meaningful spiritual life experiences such as worship services, Bible studies, devotionals, prayer gatherings, and choir — all designed to nurture spiritual growth and connection.

Outside of her work at St. John Towers, Debra is married to Robert, and together they have a son and a daughter. She enjoys exploring new restaurants with friends and taking road trips to the beach with family. Her favorite part of her ministry? Hearing the residents’ stories and sharing in their laughter each day.

We’re so thankful for the warmth, faith, and joy that Debra brings to our community! 💛

🌟Meet the Staff Monday🌟

This week, we are excited to introduce you to our Administrator, Amanda Mershon!

As the Administrator, Amanda oversees daily operations, supports our dedicated team, and ensures our residents enjoy a safe, welcoming, and engaging community.

Outside of work, you can often find her spending time with family, enjoying the great outdoors, or relaxing with a paintbrush in hand. She also loves participating in fun runs and even scuba diving whenever the opportunity arises!

When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Amanda shared: “I truly enjoy the people - no two days are ever the same, and our residents have a wonderful way of keeping life both meaningful and entertaining.”

We are so grateful for Amanda’s leadership and passion for making St. John Towers a wonderful place to live and work!

🎉 Family Fun Day 2025 was a huge success!

Wesley Woods of Augusta, St. John Towers was full of joy, laughter, and fun for all ages during our Family Fun Day!

From princesses to superheroes, games and prizes, a fortune teller, and even a cake walk — there was something for everyone to enjoy. One of the biggest hits? Dunking our Executive Director! 💦😁

We're especially proud that the St. John Towers Residents Association raised funds to support our amazing community. 💙

A huge THANK YOU to all the residents, staff, volunteers, families, guests, and sponsors who made the day so special. We couldn’t have done it without you!

This weekend, our residents and staff joined together to connect in our community.

Saturday, we started off the day at Walk to End Alzheimer’s Augusta. We enjoyed supporting this great cause and had fun doing so.

Sunday, we gathered at the Atlanta History Center to celebrate LeadingAge GA’s Profiles of Positive Aging. Here, one of our residents was nominated to speak on their outlook on how aging has been a positive factor in their life through continuous learning and growth.
