Equality Clinic is a free clinic for all individuals in the CSRA that do not have insurance or are underinsured (in need of resources that are not covered by an insurance plan) AND make less than 200% of the federal poverty line (see the chart below). We treat all patients that meet the guidelines regardless of age, race, gender identity, sexual identity, or healthcare needs. We provide services just as any other health facility and we strive to ensure that all of our patients receive friendly and competent healthcare with a specific emphasis on providing complete and competent care to the underserved LGBTQ community. In Equality Clinic you will find students from different health professions including Medicine, Physician Assistants, Dental, Occupational Therapy and Mental Healthcare providers that are learning to provide care to all patients. All students are supervised by healthcare professionals and use the experience to further their understanding of LGBTQ needs that they will be able to use later in practice. Equality Clinic opened on 9/10/2014 and has clinics on the second and fourth Wednesday of every month, starting at 5:30 PM. Although walk ins are not welcome, you can easily make an appointment online by visiting our website, calling our number, or sending us an email (details below). The clinic is located in the Health Sciences Building on the campus of Georgia Regents University at 987 Saint Sebastian Way (see photos the full address and a map). Please visit our website (www.equalityclinicaugusta.com), email us (equalityclinicaugusta@gmail.com), or call us at (762) 218-2226 for more information, appointments, ways to get involved, or how you can support our clinic.
