Skywood Recovery

Skywood Recovery We are a residential treatment facility that firmly believes that everyone has the ability to recover There are no lone wolves in recovery.

Skywood is an extraordinary place that fosters healing through our staff, peer support and a restorative environment. As part of Foundations Recovery Network, our purpose is to create lifetime relationships for long-term recovery. You aren’t just experiencing rehab and treatment at Skywood; you’re developing the skills and relationships you need to propel you into a brand new life. Establishing th

is new life is also about finding ways to sustain it long past your days at the facility. Here are some things that we want you to know about our philosophy at Skywood:

You are connected. Just like how stars are part of constellations, you are inherently part of a network that reaches far beyond your imagination. You will have help, and be able to give back, as you achieve and pursue recovery. Your destiny is waiting for you. Feeling guilty or ashamed of what your life should be—or hasn’t been—is holding back your future. Imagine living freely and taking hold of who you’re meant to be as you begin to reclaim your identity. Uncovering your destiny is what recovery is all about. Healing does happen, and happiness is possible. The chances are great that you’ve overlooked the amount of restoration and gratitude that can happen in your life. Prepare to discover this again—or for the first time—as you embark on a journey of positive change. If you’re ready to take the first step toward recovery, contact us today. Physicians are on the medical staff of Skywood Recovery Center, but, with limited exceptions, are independent practitioners who are not employees or agents of Skywood Recovery Center. The facility shall not be liable for actions or treatments provided by physicians. Model representations of real patients are shown. We are unable to provide medical advice through social media. Please contact your physician, or in case of emergency, call the National Su***de Prevention Lifeline at 988. Please visit our website for language assistance, disability accommodations, the non-discrimination notice, Terms of Service and other important disclaimers.

What an incredible P4P event hosted at Maple Grove and co‑hosted by River's Bend, PC and Newport Healthcare. The focus on gambling addiction highlighted an important—and often overlooked—topic within behavioral health.

Our reps, Michelle and Scott, truly enjoyed attending P4P and valued the opportunity to connect, learn and collaborate with others dedicated to advancing awareness and care in this space. We’re grateful for the shared knowledge, meaningful conversations and strong spirit of collaboration throughout the event.

Skywood Recovery was proud to have our own Scott Masi and Brian Cousins represent our organization at MPHI’s Annual Employers and Providers Substance Use Impact Conference. Together, they shared information about Skywood’s full range of services, programs and multiple treatment locations with conference attendees.

It was a great event filled with knowledgeable, passionate professionals who came together to gain valuable insight and continue the important work of impacting the lives of individuals struggling with addiction.

We’re grateful for opportunities like this to connect, collaborate and further support recovery across our communities.

On April 22, Skywood Recovery celebrated Earth Day by connecting with nature and embracing the healing power of the outdoors. 🌍💚

Our patients had the opportunity to enjoy a hike, search for morel mushrooms and plant seeds right on the Skywood campus. These activities encouraged mindfulness, growth and reflection—mirroring the recovery journey itself.

We’re grateful for the chance to celebrate Earth Day together while fostering connection, wellness and renewal.

Last week, we had the honor of welcoming Karyn Hurley from One Brother One Sister and our very own Joe Kelley from Foundations Recovery Networking to Skywood Outpatient Grand Rapids and Skywood Outpatient Royal Oak for an impactful presentation on “Critical Communication Skills.”

As Skywood Recovery moves closer to launching our first First Responders program, we recognize how essential it is—for both professionals and the community—to understand and strengthen human interaction under pressure.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. The engagement, discussions and shared commitment to learning truly made a difference.

A special thank you to Karyn for traveling to Michigan to support Skywood Recovery as we expand this new service, and to Joe for his continued leadership and dedication in growing this important service line at Skywood.

We are grateful for the support and excited for what’s ahead.

Join us in congratulating our Skywood Champion of the Month!

Our Champion of the Month from last month, Ken, had this to say: "I nominate Christine for April's Champion of the Month. It goes without saying how much she cares for our patients. Time and time again, she has shown how she puts their care first, and really cares for their health and well-being, but not only does she feel this way about the patients but also for her fellow staff. She can always be seen asking how you are doing, worrying about you when you feel even a little off, and willing to lend a helping hand when able. Always looking out for everyone's best interest and their needs. She is a joy to have around at night and greets us with a contagious smile that always makes our nights better."
