Did you know the stress we feel at work is more than just a bad day: it’s a hidden weight with real health costs? For Black, Indigenous, and People of Color, this "emotional tax" means holding back parts of ourselves, navigating microaggressions, code-switching, and carrying the unspoken burden of representation. The cost? Our bodies, our breath, our ancestral peace.

When this load goes unchecked, it ripples out: raising blood pressure, fueling burnout, deepening disparities. But we are not meant to shrink or suffer in silence. Naming this truth is our first step to reclaiming wellness and rewriting the health story for our communities.

Wellness is our sacred necessity. Let’s hold space, advocate fiercely, and demand workplaces where our wholeness is welcomed!
