Brad Stewart~ Root Identity Therapy
Have you ever felt a desperation to be seen, to be heard …….. to be understood? The cold gripping fear that life is coming apart leaves us paralyzed……feeling hopeless, trying to get through our mundane day devoid of happiness, enjoyment, or fulfillment; attempting to accomplish daily responsibilities with no end in sight. For those of us who experience this, it is not dramatic language but our reality.

Many of us have tried therapist after therapist without making a real connection with anyone who listens or understands, or have been given tools that just don’t help. We are desperate to find something that works, someone who can actually help; someone who has the guts and clinical skills to dig in deeply and address root causes of issues that may be deeply embedded.

Waiting…….waiting……..waiting……..

Have you ever waited for someone to validate you?

Have you ever waited for someone to accept you?

Have you ever waited for someone to appreciate you?

Have you ever waited for someone to value you?

Have you ever waited for someone to respect you?

Have you ever waited for someone to recognize you?

Have you ever waited for someone to cherish you?

Have you ever waited for someone to embrace you?

Have you ever waited for someone to love you?

Have you ever waited for someone to SEE you?

I have.

I have waited and hoped.

I have waited and prayed.

I have waited and cried.

I have waited and longed for.

I have waited and raged.

I have waited, and waited and waited.

Until I didn’t.

One night, one clear August night, beneath a pine tree, I fell to the ground and realized that I could wait no longer.

I finally listened to that still small voice that said~

“You are good enough, you are good enough right now, you are good enough just as you are.”

And I took my first step, then my second, then my third……. Day by day, hour by hour, moment by moment, breath by breath. I embraced my journey, my journey of being who
I am; embracing and loving myself, discovering myself, being who I am meant to be.

Despite the ups and downs, I am still on that journey, and loving every minute of it.
