Natalia’s Success Story
When Natalia was admitted to Lowry Hills Care and Rehabilitation after suffering a hip fracture from a fall, she required maximum assistance. But along with her injury, she brought something just as powerful: s***k, a bright spirit, and a smile that could light up any room.
From her very first therapy session, Natalia showed both determination and a sense of humor that lifted everyone around her. Working closely with her therapy team Jay, PT; Urszula, PTA; AJ, PT; Emily, OT; Kaitlyn, OT; and Zeynep, OT she met every exercise and challenge with persistence and grace. She approached hard work with laughter, gave out hugs freely, and celebrated every small gain like a major victory.
Through consistent effort and strong teamwork, Natalia regained strength, improved her functional mobility, and relearned the skills she needed for daily life. She progressed from requiring maximum assistance to returning home with her loving family, now able to live more independently and needing only supervision with her ADLs and functional mobility.
The photo of Natalia with Jay, Urszula, AJ, Emily, and Zeynep captures more than just a moment it reflects the trust, compassion, and joy that carried her through recovery. Natalia’s journey is a beautiful reminder that resilience and a positive heart can move mountains (and heal hips).
We are so proud to have been part of her story. Way to go, Natalia!
