When you walk into The Place for Children with Autism, you’ll probably see kids laughing, building, dancing, exploring and you might think, “This looks like a daycare.” But here’s the difference: every single moment of play here has a purpose.

Each child is paired 1:1 with a trained ABA therapist, someone who not only connects with them but also uses play as a powerful tool to build communication, social skills, independence, confidence, and more.

Behind every game of peek-a-boo, every puzzle, every pretend kitchen setup, there’s strategy, love, and science. Their goals are individualized and crafted by a BCBA who’s consistently checking in, adjusting plans, and supporting families through the highs, lows, and breakthroughs.

Play here isn’t just fun (though it absolutely is!). It’s transformative. And the creativity that unfolds during these sessions? Honestly… it’s priceless.

June at The Place for Children with Autism was all about showing up with PRIDE!

At work, in our communities, and for each other, our teams created space for joy, connection, and celebration (hey, core value!) 💙

From Kahoot challenges and festive photo ops to thoughtful celebrations across our centers, Pride at The Place was led with care and built around inclusion.

While Pride lasts a month, our support for the LGBTQIA+ community is year-round!

A huge thank you to all the centers who shared their Pride photos with us! We loved seeing your creativity, spirit, and commitment to making everyone feel seen and celebrated!
