Despite the challenges of this past year, many teens, like Allie Beth Currier, a junior at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin School (NDCL ) found ways to brighten the days of friends and family while supporting her community. Last Summer, Allie Beth launched MasquerAid, an Aurora-based small business that made bright and cheerful cloth masks. She was inspired by a family friend who underwent cancer treatment at UH Rainbow, to donate $1,750 from her mask sales to UH Rainbow.

In addition to her sewing talents, Allie Beth is a Merit Scholar, a three-sport athlete, and has been a part of Class 101 Cleveland since her Freshman year.

These last four months have gone by in a whirlwind and with summer coming to a close and school starting I am going to wind down MasquerAid at the end of this week. I will take orders through this Friday August 20th. Thank you to everyone who has supported me and University Hospitals Babies and Children’s. I will make one last donation the end of August with the proceeds from the masks ordered through August 20. 💕💕💕

Allie Beth is a Merit Scholar at Notre Dame-Cathedral Latin and a representative on her Student Activities Board. She is also a member of the NDCL girls' tennis team and swim team and participates in track and field. Allie Beth has excelled both in the classroom and in her athletics while at NDCL.
