There is power in restorative yoga 🧘🏽‍♀️

Most forms of yoga can be amazing for stress relief but restorative yoga has a few added benefits for this purpose.

✨It’s a slower and gentler form of yoga where each pose is held longer.

✨This builds strength and flexibility and gives you time to adjust and stretch through each pose.

✨You are given more time to breathe during the pose and relax your muscles fully.

Did you know that 1 in 4 people suffer from a mental health problem but sometimes it can be invisible? 😮

I’m part of that 1 in 4. ✨

Due to trauma my nervous system has been dysregulated for a long time. I choose to not take any prescription medication but instead I incorporate a natural practice to heal & regulate my nervous system. I do this through breathwork, meditation, yoga, journaling, and acupuncture. 🧘🏽‍♀️

Healing is not linear and there aren’t any such things as quick fixes. It’s a journey of peaks and valleys so remember to take time to smile and be kind to yourself especially during the tough times. 🙏🏽

It’s okay not to be okay. Your mental illness is not a personal failure.

💚 You are loved.

There are 89 days left in the year. 😳 As we creep closer to the holiday season, you may be feeling some pressure and I’m guessing you often think you should just “push through it”. 😩

Spoiler Alert 🚨 you can’t. That’s because stress isn’t “all in your mind” it’s also in your body. And if you try “pushing through“ eventually your body will force you to take a break. ⏸💚
