To our veterans living in Pueblo and the surrounding area, the PFC James Dunn VA Clinic Imaging Department will be closed, Monday through Thursday, March 2-5, due to staffing. Normal imaging operations are expected to resume on Friday, March 6.

Patients who need imaging services may either go to the PFC Floyd K. Lindstrom VA Clinic in Colorado Springs and utilize their imaging services or wait until normal imaging operations resume at the Dunn VA Clinic. If emergent images are needed, discuss a community care consult with your provider.

Do you have deployment-related asthma?

Were you deployed to Southwest Asia or Afghanistan?

Are you having active asthma symptoms?

If you answered “Yes” to these questions, CU Medicine and VA Eastern Colorado are recruiting veterans to participate in a Deployment Related Asthma Research Study supplement research trial aiming to improve asthma control. Compensation is provided, research is done at the Anschutz campus in Aurora, Colorado. Participants will be asked to:

Donate blood and nasal swab samples
Take both a study supplement (called L-Citrulline) and a placebo for six to eight weeks at a time
Come to between five to six in-person visits over a 22-week period
Perform lung function testing

Can’t make your appointment? Let another Veteran take it. When you miss an appointment without canceling (a “no-show”), it delays care for your fellow Vets.
Ways to cancel:
1. Text: Reply “C” to your appointment reminder text. (Text START to 53079 to opt in).
2. Online: Use MyHealth.va.gov or the VA Health & Benefits App.
3. Call: Dial 303-399-8020 and press 2 for scheduling.
By canceling early, you help a fellow Vet get the care they need sooner.
