Our deepest condolences to the family, friends, colleagues, and all who are impacted by the passing of Dr. Robert A. Duckman.

SUNY Optometry

With deep sadness, we share the passing of Dr. Robert A. Duckman, Professor Emeritus of SUNY College of Optometry.

For over four decades (1970–2015), Dr. Duckman dedicated himself to educating generations of optometrists and caring for children in our clinic. A leader in pediatric optometry, he made lasting contributions to the care of children with special needs, vision screening, and research as an early PEDIG investigator.

He will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and lasting impact on our community. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, loved ones, and all who knew him.

Last weekend, Ms. Jessalyn passed her COVT certification at the annual OVDRA conference in Louisville, KY! She is now one of the only current Board Certified Vision Therapists in Indiana! We are so proud of all her hard work and the expertise that she brings to our team so we can continue to serve our patients with the best care!
