🎉 Say hey to Sophia Housner — our fabulous Development Manager!

Originally from small-town Indiana, Sophia made her way to Denver by way of Tennessee and brought ALL the good vibes with her. She’s passionate about people, purpose, and making impact happen.

Some fun facts:
💙 She has a boat named after her at Indiana University (seriously!)
🎿 She loves skiing and baking (but not at the same time)
🐶 Her dog’s name is Blue Berry and yes, he’s the goodest boy
🍿 Movie nights with her husband = her happy place

Evan has been living with type 1 diabetes for 3 years and doesn’t let it slow him down one bit! He loves watching NASCAR, skiing, swimming, biking, camping, and playing video games.

Whether he's hitting the slopes or the trails, Evan shows that life with T1D can still be full of fun, movement, and adventure. 💙

He also wishes more people understood the difference between type 1 and type 2 diabetes—because they’re not the same!

The Children’s Diabetes Foundation was established by Barbara and Marvin Davis in 1977 in Denver as a non-profit organization dedicated solely to the support of research in diabetes and to provide the best possible clinical and educational programs for people with the disease. The Foundation’s mission is to raise funds to support the Barbara Davis Center for Diabetes, where thousands of patients of all ages from all over the world receive the finest diabetes care available.
