💙 Thank You to the North Aurora Fire Department!

We’re so grateful to the North Aurora Fire Department for their continued support through their annual fundraiser! Each year, they sell t-shirts, sweatshirts, and hats to raise funds that benefit local organizations—including Waterford Place.

In these photos, you’ll see a special moment from last year when our Waterford Place Director and Foundation staff from Rush Copley received a check from their fundraising efforts, as well as a glimpse of this year’s current fundraiser in action!

We are excitedly preparing for our Annual Rhoyal Tea commemorating our focus on women's health and breast cancer awareness. September is Leukemia & Lymphoma Awareness Month.

At Waterford Place, we are honored to walk alongside those affected by blood cancers. This month, September 25, at 5:30 pm we invite you to join us at the Light the Night event, a powerful evening of remembrance, hope, and community.

We also offer a Monthly Multiple Myeloma Support Group on the first Wednesday of each month at 6 p.m., providing connection, resources, and encouragement for patients and their families.

Together, we shine a light on the path of healing and hope.

September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month.

Waterford Place offers a variety of men’s programs designed to encourage connection, wellness, and support for men navigating cancer. From group discussions to activities that foster camaraderie, we believe no man should face cancer alone.

We also want to highlight a new class offering that may be of particular interest: Strength in Motion with Delilah Matos, Certified ACE Personal Trainer, USA Boxing Referee and Judge, and Silver Level USA Boxing Coach.

Class begin on October 2 and continues weekly on Thursdays from 6 to 7 p.m.

This low-impact, non-contact shadowboxing class is designed for cancer survivors and their families. It’s a chance to move at your own pace while building confidence, reducing stress, and reconnecting with your body. No boxing experience needed—just come as you are!

👉 We encourage all men impacted by cancer to join us, connect with others, and discover the strength that comes from community.

September is both Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month and Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month, represented by the teal ribbon.

At Waterford Place, we are proud to offer GYNE Sisters, a monthly support group that brings together women facing gynecologic and ovarian cancers. This safe, supportive community provides connection, encouragement, and hope.

September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month.

Waterford Place is honored to participate in a regional collaborative effort to support kids impacted by cancer. Kids around the region will soon be receiving their "Brave Boxes" filled with fun items that serve as an extension of our collaborative supportive care. Together, we stand with children, families, and communities facing the challenges of pediatric cancer—because no child should face this journey alone. 💛

Looking ahead, from October through December, Waterford Place will shine a spotlight on family programs that encourage everyone to participate in support—because cancer impacts the whole family, and healing is strongest when shared. Be sure to join us!
