After cancer treatment, relief and hope often come first, but worry about recurrence can still show up. Follow up scans, new symptoms, or even anniversaries can trigger anxiety and “what if” thoughts.
This fear is common and very human, especially in the first year after treatment. You are not weak for feeling it. Taking things one day at a time, connecting with people who understand, and staying in touch with your care team can help you feel more grounded and confident in survivorship.
At Waterford Place Cancer Resource Center, you do not have to navigate these feelings alone. Our supportive care programs are here to help you process fears, build coping tools, and reconnect with a sense of calm and confidence.
Fear may show up, but it does not have to lead the way. Reach out to Waterford Place to learn how we can support you.
