🍂🎃 You're invited to join FVSRA Caregiver Network on Sunday, October 12 for Fall Fun at Blackberry Farm!

From 11:30am–1:00pm, enjoy a festive day filled with autumn activities and family memories. Admission to Blackberry Farm is FREE (but RSVP required). Families can explore and play while caregivers connect with others in a welcoming, relaxed environment.

🍁 Fall Registration is in full swing and closes in just about 2 weeks. Make sure to pick your programs by Friday, September 5!

Many programs are already full with waitlists, but there are still a few great options open:
• Day Away Bolingbrook – Wednesday, October 15, 10am-4pm. Enjoy a walk through Waterfall Glen, shop and have lunch at the Promenade, and try pottery painting.
• Sensory Room with Santa – Sunday, December 7, 11:30am-1pm. A calm and welcoming environment for individuals of all ages and abilities to meet Santa.
• Youth Open Gym – Thursdays in October, 5-5:45pm (except 10/30). Try a different sport each week including basketball, soccer, tennis, bocce, and more.

📸 Daybreak wrapped up summer with fun activities like pedal boating and an end-of-summer party complete with a photo booth and props! These were just some of the many highlights of the summer, along with community outings, activities, social opportunities, and more.

☀️ Thank you to everyone who joined us for FVSRA’s Family Fun Day this past Saturday! The park was filled with bounce houses, games, bubbles, SootheSpace, popcorn, tattoos, and more. Families and friends of all ages and abilities had a fun-filled afternoon. It was the perfect way to wrap up summer and wish everyone a great start to the school year!

🎉Please join us in congratulating Therapeutic Recreation Specialist Amber Tinney for passing her Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist exam!

The NCTRC is the most recognized credential in the profession of recreational therapy. FVSRA is proud to now have 14 team members who are certified CTRS.

⚾️ Last week, we enjoyed an exciting overnight trip to Milwaukee packed with sights, sports, and new adventures. We cheered on the Cubs as they took on the Brewers, explored the Harley‑Davidson Museum, and sampled plenty of great restaurants and ice cream shops. With the Cubs bringing home a win, it was the perfect blend of excitement, discovery, and time spent together!

🎉 Family Fun Day is almost here! Join us THIS Saturday, August 9 from 11am to 2pm at Panton Mill Park in South Elgin for a free afternoon of fun for all ages and abilities.

Enjoy carnival style games, inflatables, face painting, bubbles, and plenty of laughter. No registration is needed, just bring your family and friends and get ready to make summer memories together. We can’t wait to see you there!

🏖️ Last Sunday, more than 70 caregivers, families, and friends joined us at Batavia's Quarry Beach for our Caregiver Network Sunset Swim. It was a wonderful evening to enjoy the water, connect with one another, and celebrate the important role caregivers have in our community!

Our next Caregiver Network event will be Fall Fun at Blackberry Farm with FVSRA Caregiver Network. This free outing includes admission, rides, and attractions that families can enjoy while caregivers spend time together and share experiences.

The FVSRA Caregiver Network offers opportunities for caregivers to connect, learn, and build relationships through presentations and social gatherings.
