The Ancestral Roots Family is GROWING! Meet our new doula Justina. Here’s a little about her in her own words;

My name is Justina, Damali is my spiritual name, I have been studying women’s health, fertility, birth, and advocating for safe birth spaces for the past 5 years. Having had two births, one an “emergency C-section” and the other was a free birth which I also had a wild pregnancy. I believe in full autonomy and intuition in pregnancy and birth spaces. I lead with love, respect, and compassion with clients. I take it as my responsibility to ensure you are as informed in all of your choices as possible and tend to advocate for home births and natural birth unless otherwise necessary.

We are extremely happy to welcome her to the family! Justina will be one of a few new additions before the grand open in October. Keep an ear out for more things to come.

The Dope Hope Healer Doula and Ancestral Roots are proud to announce we have our first doula baby of 2024! Although our full client list won’t open until our grand opening I am willing to take on 3 more clients before the official opening.

I can’t even put into words how excited I am to be apart of this journey with this dear amazing friend of mine. We’re 11 weeks in and I know this will be a magical journey for us all.

It’s may be small to most but received the first donation for Ancestral Roots Maternal Birthing & Care Co. Baby&Me Essentials Drive makes so happy and proud of what I’m doing! One down hopefully more to come!

‼️REMEMBER‼️ we are still accepting donations for our Baby&Me Essentials. We are looking for newborn to 6 month clothes, diapers, wipes, hats, socks, burp cloths, booties, and any and everything you can think a baby would need. I also hope to include self care things for the new mom so that she can treat herself and honor the love within. Lastly I hope to include a toy or something for siblings if possible. These boxes aren’t just for mothers though I’m hoping to be able to reach some single fathers of newborns too. If you or someone you know can help please reach out!

I’ve been patiently and silently redoing my training as I work toward opening my services again this year. This is only the beginning. I truly want to thank Muva Diamond Redden for being patient with me and being the mentor I’ve needed. This is just step one. There is more to come. I’m so proud of myself! The Dope Hope Healer and Ancestral Roots Birthing and Maternal Care &Co. has started our Baby&Me essentials donation drive! This will run through the entire month of January! We are seeking gently used, new, and/or other forms of donations for expecting and postpartum moms, babies(NB-12m), support person care, and a sibling(toddler) items. Our boxes will also be put in the hands on single fathers with newborns. The items need to be in by the end of January so the boxes will be put together and distributed on February 14th as a honoring gift of love. If possible please donate or share this flyer. We received our very first donation today! We are just getting started!
