Check this out! Jennifer Rosen, CPNP PC, MPH, specialty director of our Pediatric Primary Care NP program, recently presented her DNP project at the Colorado Association of School Nurses conference. Jennifer is set to graduate from our DNP program this May, and her project focused on educating Denver public school nurses on reproductive and perinatal care. Our students are busy gaining nursing skills in our awesome simulation lab! Did you know CU Anschutz Nursing has the largest nursing simulation space in the Rocky Mountain region, with 20,000+ sq. ft. of hands-on learning. Our students practice real-life nursing skills, work with high-tech manikins, and get guidance from faculty in a safe, supportive environment. Want an up-close look at our sim lab? INACSL is a 3,000-member organization focused on advancing the science and practice of healthcare simulation. Congratulations, and we’re excited to see the great things you’ll do in this leadership role!

💫 April Preceptor of the Month Spotlight! 💫
Meet Dr. Nahid Kalani, who has been precepting our graduate nursing students for four years at Rocky Mountain Medical & Healthcare, Inc. She says her favorite thing about precepting is seeing students gain confidence in their skills and their ability to handle any situation over the course of a semester.

Fun facts about Dr. Kalani:
✅ She grew up in Iran and learned basic math there, so she still does math problems in Farsi in her head before translating them to English!
🥼 Dr. Kalani is also a 3x alumna, having earned her BS in Nursing, FNP, and DNP degrees from CU Anschutz Nursing.
