Enjoy top notch service from our dedicated and friendly staff, newly renovated apartments, and the best food and service around. Located on the banks of the Fox River, Plum Landing residents enjoy great views from every apartment. The building itself is built into the side of a hill, making it almost invisible from Lake St. (Rt. 31), while also making it easily accessible from all directions. We are a nonprofit corporation governed by a local board of directors who are prominent in all areas of local business, many of whom have had family that called Plum Landing home.

We took a joyful ride down memory lane with our Virtual First Car Show, featuring cherished stories and snapshots from our residents—and a few staff members too! From classic cruisers to quirky compacts, each car came with a tale of freedom, adventure, and youthful pride.
Thank you to everyone who shared their “first wheels” and the memories that came with them. It was a beautiful reminder that every journey starts somewhere—and sometimes, it starts with a stick shift and a cassette deck.

We’re honored to receive a Functionality and Safety Grant from the Dunham Foundation —a generous investment in the well-being of our residents.
Thanks to this support, we’ll be:
✅ Replacing our decade-old internet network
✅ Upgrading aging windows
✅ Installing new air conditioning units
These improvements will enhance safety, comfort, and connectivity for the older adults who call Plum Landing home. We're deeply grateful for this partnership and the brighter future it helps us build. 💙

As part of Plum Landing Week, we gathered in remembrance in our courtyard—releasing butterflies in honor of those we have loved and lost. Each flutter was a tribute, each moment a quiet reflection on lives that touched ours deeply.

In sorrow and in strength, we find comfort in community. Grateful for the camaraderie and compassion of neighbors who help carry us through the hardest days. 💜

There’s no slowing down our dedicated crew of puzzle pros at Plum Landing! The second floor lounge is always buzzing with concentration, collaboration, and a few celebratory “aha!” moments as another masterpiece comes to life—one carefully placed piece at a time.
Whether it’s landscapes, wildlife, or a tricky 1,000-piece challenge, our residents bring patience, teamwork, and plenty of smiles to each puzzle session.

Christmas is 150 days away—but who’s counting when the joy feels this close? Last week, lunch hour turned into a holiday delight as residents gathered for Christmas in July filled with cheer—and an unforgettable surprise!

Just as Jimmy Buffet and the Beach Boys played and laughter echoed through the dining room, who should appear but Santa and Mrs. Claus themselves! It was a celebration that reminded us all: the spirit of Christmas knows no season.

Last week at The Plum, the spirit of celebration was as vibrant as the fireworks lighting up the Aurora sky! With McCullough Park just steps away, our patios and balconies offered front-row seats to the city’s spectacular show.

Earlier in the day, residents added their own sparkle with a festive parade around the dining hall, led by our proud Grand Marshal (and director) Alex. Parade prep started on the 4th floor with Kathy and quickly turned into a joyful flurry of red, white, and blue. It was a day filled with laughter, togetherness, and unforgettable memories—truly Independence Day, the Plum Landing way.
