Recovery doesn’t have to be boring, sometimes it looks like fresh air, movement, and a whole lot of laughs!

We’ll start the morning with community service and fellowship at the 1Voice community center, then head out together to Perfect North Slopes for an active recovery adventure in the snow!

We will be snow tubing! And this day is about connection, fun, and showing that recovery can be joyful, active, and full of life.
Everyone is welcome, bring a friend, bring your positive vibes, and let’s hit the slopes together!

We’re feeling so grateful and honored to have won 3rd place for our Recovery Christmas Tree in the Trees of Hope at Belterra Casino 🎄

This tree represents so much more than decorations, it represents hope, resilience, second chances, and the power of recovery. Every ornament tells a story, and every light stands for someone who chose hope.

1Voice was honored today at the Indiana Mental Health Symposium with the inaugural award for Peer Led Recovery Organization of 2025!
A special thanks to our amazing team and board of directors for the work that they do in a daily basis.
Also to every RCO and organization that has put in this work as this system in Indiana has grown to something special, as we all grew together! To all the organizations and trainers that helped develop the education and trainings needed, we all learned together!
And most importantly to all the participants who allowed each of our organizations to walk along side them, we all walked together!
We are honored and humbled to be part of this journey with you all together!

Today we were able to take a moment and celebrate with our staff and their families for our annual Christmas party. In the hustle and bustle of the peer profession it’s great to take time and show appreciation to our staff and also to enjoy these moments with each other. Thank you to everyone that attended and congratulations to all those that won gift cards or prizes during the Xmas games.

This week 1Voice had the opportunity to release the IRACS impact report, and discuss the data and outcomes from its implementation in 2022 until present. Thank you to all our community partners, justice officials, attorneys and current and past staff who together made this program what it is today.
These numbers and outcomes discussed are way more than numbers in a report, they are individuals supported from our community, lives impacted, and second chances provided.
Of the 1575 individuals that have completed
Intakes for the IRACS program in the Dearborn County Jail, only 342 have returned. This shows that roughly 80 percent of these participants have not returned back to the Dearborn County jail. During this presentation we had the opportunity to hear directly from two previous participants on how this program helped support their reentry and recovery journeys.
Their personal transformations and experiences shared were absolutely incredible to hear.
Special thanks to Sheriff Mchenry for believing in the work that peers can do, and allowing the opportunity for the IRACS program in Dearborn County.

🍁 Happy Thanksgiving from 1Voice! 🧡

Today we’re extra grateful for our recovery family, our community, and everyone walking this journey with courage and hope. No one has to do this alone.

🎄💙 Last week our team went to Belterra Casino to decorate a Recovery Christmas Tree for Belterra’s annual tree contest and we couldn’t be more excited!

This tree is more than ornaments and lights. It’s a symbol of hope, healing, and the strength of every person who has fought their way toward recovery. Every ribbon, every decoration, every detail is meant to honor the journey, celebrate second chances, and remind people that recovery is possible.

Winning this competition isn’t just about winning, it’s about creating visibility for recovery, spreading awareness, and helping us support even more individuals and families who need it. Your support and your vote can make a real impact.

‼️Important 1Voice Meeting Update‼️

After careful consideration and review of attendance, we’ve decided to discontinue our Saturday support meeting beginning immediately.

This change allows us to improve our attendance in other meetings, and bring more individuals together while continuing to offer support throughout the week and one day of the weekend.

🗓 Here’s what’s new:
• Our Speaker Meetings will move from Saturday to the last Sunday of every month.

We will still offer three other C2C meetings each week, along with outside organization meetings, ensuring plenty of opportunities for connection and recovery support.

We appreciate your understanding and flexibility as we continue to grow and adapt to meet the needs of our recovery community. 💚

Today for National Recovery Month, 1Voice Recovery Community Organization got to take a moment to show appreciation for our staff, board members and members of the community at our 1Voice Staff Appreciation lunch at Third and Main. As an organization that employs those with lived experience from their own personal mental health or substance use it’s important we take the time to support and recognize each of them during recovery month as well.
During this lunch we were able to honor the two staff who were voted by their peers as 1Voice Peer Professionals of the Year. These two honors went to Neila Rugg and Blair Garrett. We appreciate your commitment and dedication to those in our community!
In addition 1Voice honored Cheyenne Barrows as the 1Voice Recovery Ally for 2025. Your commitment and dedication to the recovery community truky shines.
Lastly we honored a community partner for their commitment to our community and those impacted by mental health and substance use. With this being the first time 1Voice has done this we couldn’t think of anyone more deserving than, One Community One Family. This organization as been instrumental in the growth of 1Voice over the last decade, and also in the growth of support services and resources in our community.
We would like to thank you all and we appreciate everything each of you do for our community!
