It's not every day that a mom and her daughter get to share a birthday, but that's exactly what happened earlier this month for Kalee and her new baby girl Aveya. 💙 To celebrate this extra-special day, our labor and delivery team put together a treat for the birthday girls.

Mercy unequivocally condemns all violence and violent rhetoric. Our prayers are with Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones after today’s horrifying act of violence.

Tonight, we were made aware of unacceptable statements made by a social media user whose profile says she’s a nurse at Mercy. We reviewed our employee records and can confirm this person does not, and has never, worked at Mercy. Mercy would never tolerate any employees celebrating violence, which would be a clear violation of not only our employee policies but also our mission as a healing ministry of Jesus.

Our whole team in Aurora deserves a round of applause because Mercy Hospital Aurora was named among the top 15% in the Nation for Outstanding Patient Experience by Healthgrades. 💙

This team works so hard to provide exception care to our patients every single day, so to celebrate, we hosted an Italian feast.

It truly takes a team effort to run a hospital, and everyone wears multiple hats and depends on one another to serve the community. There might not be a better example of that than our team in Aurora.

Calling all of our Mercy caregivers and community members in Aurora. We're hosting a blood drive with Community Blood Center of the Ozarks tomorrow at our hospital from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

As always, we'll have tons of snacks, and donors get to go home with a stylish new beach towel and a day pass to SuperSplash USA.

You don't need to make a reservation to donate, so feel free to stop by anytime that fits your schedule. We hope to see you all tomorrow!

We're so thankful for all our amazing caregivers, and we had so much fun celebrating with you all throughout Health Care Week!

• Monday – Tea party with decorate-your-own-cookies and a photo booth.
• Tuesday – Mad Hatters hat day where everyone wore a hat, plus a yogurt bar.
• Wednesday – White rabbit treasure hunt where we hid 35 keys around the hospital, and whoever found them got to pick from a table of prizes, plus our leaders served breakfast.
• Thursday – Puppies on the patio, where Rescue One brought puppies that are up for adoption for our caregivers to play with
• Friday – Queen's candy buffet, plus we awarded the winners of our week-long door decoration contest.
• Bonus – We announced our first Team DAISY award, going to our wound clinic!
