Core stability is for everyone. With that being said, we will focus on deep core activation rather than crunches.


*Your core stabilizes your spine-keep it strong!
*A weak core = compensation patterns (why do my adjustments always "go back")
*Stability helps to prevent flare-ups

3 of Dr. Dodge's favorite exercises
1. Dead bugs
2. Bird dogs
3. Glute bridges

*Using elastic loops is a great way to enhance these exercises. Ask Dr. Dodge how they can be implemented.

Today is Dr Dodge's birthday! Make sure to reach out and wish her happy birthday!!!

This week's focus is on the shoulders and upper back!

*Desk work and use of cellular devices can cause rounded shoulders.
*Thoracic spine (mid back) stiffness leads to and increases neck pain.
*Mobility improves breathing & posture (yes, breathing!).

Three of Dr. Dodge's recommended stretches for this area:
1.Wall angels
2.Doorway pec stretch
3.Seated thoracic extension
Do these at least 3 times throughout your work day for a minute each to feel the results.

*Resistance bands can not only strengthen your muscles, but also aid in your stretches.

March into mobility! Week 1!

We spent February loving our spine. Now in March, we're taking the next step-improving how we move every day, starting with the hips.

Focus: Hips & Low Back
*Sitting tightens hip flexors
*Tight hips pull on the low back
*Mobility reduces strain and improves alignment

Stretching just 3-5 minutes every day can make a big difference.
Here are two that I love:
1. 90/90 hip stretch
2. Standing hip flexor stretch

Some other things that can help are using magnesium bath salts, resistance training with elastic loops, and adjustments to support improved movement.
