About Our Center
The University of Colorado Denver Hemophilia and Thrombosis Center (HTC), located at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Center in Aurora, Colorado, is the region’s leader for the treatment of patients with bleeding and clotting disorders stroke. Serving patients in the Rocky Mountain region, including Colorado, Wyoming and Montana, the HTC is a dedicated team of physicians, nurses, pharmacists, physical therapists, social workers and researchers who are committed to providing comprehensive care for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. This HTC page is provided for general information and education about bleeding and clotting disorders and as a way to connect with patients, families, providers and other interested parties. Mission

The HTC was founded in 1973 to provide a permanent research and treatment facility for patients with bleeding and clotting disorders. The HTC has provided clinics for hemophilia, bleeding and clotting disorder patients from a variety of locations throughout the University of Colorado campus. The center moved to a permanent location in April 2011 in the University Physician’s Building just north of the main Anschutz Medical Campus to accommodate the needs of patients.
