What is “hormone imbalance” and how do you know if your hormones are imbalanced?
Man I wish I knew this stuff when I was younger!!
The two most important hormones when it comes to menstrual health are Cortisol (the “stress” hormone) and Insulin (the “blood sugar hormone”).
These two, when imbalanced, cause a downstream effect on your s*x hormones which then go haywire and cause PMS, irregular cycles, painful cramps, etc.
The first signs to look out for of a hormone imbalance are:
❌ Cravings for sweets, refined carbs and alcohol
❌ Can’t get through the day without caffeine, energy crashes
❌ Trouble falling asleep or staying asleep
❌ Mood swings from weepy to hangry and everywhere in between
In today’s world, most of us are just offered a pill to completely shut off our hormones, rather than addressing the root cause of the problem.

😴 Are you getting 7-9 hours of quality sleep every night?
☕️🍸Are you drinking too much caffeine or alcohol?
💩 Are you having digestion issues like constipation, bloating or heart burn?
🙇🏽♀️ Are you regularly stressed out and over extending yourself? Do you make time for rest and relaxation?
🏃🏽♀️ Are you exercising too much, or not enough?
🧴 Are you using conventional cleaning products, make up and personal care products filled with toxic chemicals? Are you buying organic when you can?
🥬 Are you getting a variety of whole fruits, veggies, grains, beans, nuts and seeds on your plate?
