It’s wild to think that just a week ago everything in Asheville and the surrounding area was fine. My heart is broken for my southeast community in Western North Carolina, Eastern Tennessee, my home state of Georgia and my community in Florida. It’s hard to really fathom the destruction. And I feel weirdly geographically removed since I now live out in Texas. Lots of people in other areas are just going about their lives. I struggle to find the balance between acknowledging this horrible catastrophe while also pushing forward day by day. How can I live my life in Texas knowing so many people are in despair? I’ve checked on my friends in the area. I’ll be in Georgia in November. I just wish I had the power to undo what’s happened to the Appalachian region that will forever be my home and where I grew up. I’m still processing, and I will do what I can to support the rebuilding of this region. Recently I was expressing grief about this event to my new friend Max Ribner, and he said, “storms also bring people together.” I was touched by his prospective. I took this picture on the Blue Ridge Parkway with Alexa last year. That road is currently closed indefinitely. To all my loved ones who have been impacted by this awful hurricane damage, I love you.

Sounds of Summer was such a magical retreat! I cannot believe how quickly this weekend went by in a flash. It’s an honor to be connected to such a beautiful community. We come together to sing, rest and heal in unity. And we left with open hearts and nourished souls. Thank you all so much!

We’ll burn what no longer serves us with a fire release ceremony. We’ll feel into medicinal movement with ecstatic dance, and we’ll savor the sacred plant medicine of cacao.

It was such a great day on set recording the first round of video modules for the upcoming Sound Facilitator Course. I’m so grateful to have friends that lend me access to their studio where we can put this together on a shared mission to help others learn about sound and how to thrive while doing it!

I felt called to the gong back in 2019 after reading ’s book Gong Therapy. I closed the book after finishing the last page and knew it was the path for me. I was so excited when I bought my first gong and started playing it for myself daily, but I truly had no clue what was in store for me or the experiences it would lead to. Fast forward 5 years and now I’m moving to Austin, TX, I’ve learned so much, met so many amazing people and traveled all over sharing a simple message of healing with sound. Most importantly it’s been a journey of self healing. I am forever grateful!

That’s why I’m so thrilled to offer this Sound Facilitator Course. It’s going to be a blast! The positive ripple effect of the sound offerings each student brings to the world has endless potential.

It’s also so cool to embrace a new role as a teacher and share not only what I’ve learned from my amazing mentors but also insights I’ve picked up along the way of my unique journey as a talent agent, producer and as a sound facilitator.

This is an excellent time to get into this line of work, because the world needs it more than ever. It needs YOU and your unique gifts more than ever. And it’s my honor to be a part of your journey.

I remember back when I first began facilitating sound the imposter syndrome was REAL! Especially when I was doing 1 on 1 sessions. Who was I to be holding space in a vulnerable setting? How on earth was I supposed to know what cues to look for? I kept comparing myself to my incredibly gifted massage therapist and my highly skilled acupuncturist. I thought that there was no way I was on their level and that I simply didn’t possess the magical abilities they seemed to have so naturally.

A conversation with one of my mentors changed that for me when I learned and accepted we all have our own unique medicine to offer as healers. And there is a healer in each one of us, so long as we allow it. We attract the very people who need our unique energy and offering. I didn’t have to be like my extraordinary massage therapist. I didn’t have to have the same level of knowledge that my acupuncturist had (after over 30 years of operating his practice). To start, I simply needed to embrace myself. To recognize that I inherently had the intuition and could help people on their journey without having to pretend anything or know more than I knew.

Of course all the trainings and certifications I took over the years helped. Of course we want to facilitate sound safely and responsibly. And there certainly are wrong ways to do this work. I should know because I’ve made some mistakes in my past along the way!

But if you have thought, “I wish I could do that” but feel like an imposter, I’m here to tell you that you’re not alone and that you are worthy! The world needs your unique medicine!

The Sound Facilitator Course I’m leading starts on June 5th. In this 6 week virtual course we will be CRUSHING any trace of imposter syndrome as we go over everything the past 5 years have taught me so you can serve your clients with the utmost confidence!

Primal breathwork is a healing therapy that uses concious, circular breathing to unlock an altered state of consciousness. The accelerated breath clears emotional blocks and stagnant energy from the mind and body. Breathwork increases circulation of oxygen which activates different areas of the brain to create new neural pathways for deeper awareness and a stronger sense of self. This workshop will also include a primal release and provide an opportunity to scream, howl and shake out all your limbs for deep transformation during this eclipse season.

All this occurs while you are enveloped in vibration from gongs, drums, didgeridoos, rain sticks, crystal harps, singing bowls, rattles and more. It’s an opportunity for increased clarity, emotional revelation, and a time to tap into your innate ability for self healing.

This event will conclude with a share circle where participants can talk about their experience within the group for integration and grounding.
