This walkathon to benefit The Lyder Foundation is less than a month away! Exciting news for my friends and colleagues in Austin. I will be leading an Austin walk! May 2, we will gather under the Mopac bridge at Lake Austin Blvd (free parking when spots are available under the bridge, paid parking next to it) at 8 am. We will have signs and wear the t-shirts that come with registration and raise awareness about body-focused repetitive behaviors, in particular how they affect people of color! Please dm me with questions or interest!

I am just beginning to digest my experience at AGPA Connect ‘26. Group therapy is the real deal, I feel more nourished and challenged at this conference than in any other professional event! Some major highlights are featured, from the left corner clockwise: I was awarded Fellowship this year, recognized for my investment in AGPA and contribution to the field of Group Psychotherapy; I celebrated at Nobu with another social worker and incoming Fellow, Donna Harris; reveling in our work being featured in the onsite bookstore with fellow social worker, dear friend and my supervisor/consultant since 2002 (!) Jeanne Bunker, HGPS friends Marina Rathjens and Lauren Ziff, celebrating the tenure of my dear mentor Ginger Sullivan and the AGPA Co-Chairs dinner, with my dear Queens Karly Marx and Sinclair after their second annual “Queening Out” Open Session, and with Karly aka John Stitt before the transformation! I loved seeing so many if you there and sharing in hugs, discussion, connection.
