Dr. George is a standout clinician at VEA Health, bringing compassion, teamwork, and dedication to every patient he serves.

Over the past three years at DeTar Navarro Hospital (Victoria, TX), he’s made a meaningful impact as a hospitalist—supporting both his colleagues and the Victoria community. Joining us right out of residency, he’s become an integral part of the VEA family.

Twenty of our providers, including physicians and APPs, recently completed the Center for Emergency Health Sciences’ PEP-C (Physicians Emergency Procedures Course), an intensive, hands-on training focused on critical emergency procedures including airway management, venous access, chest tubes, and more.

Continuous education and hands-on training are essential to delivering the highest level of emergency care, and we’re incredibly proud of our team’s commitment to learning, growth, and clinical excellence.

We’re proud to share that Lee Fernandez, Director of Performance Improvement at VEA Health, represented our team at the 25th Annual Mid-Coast Hurricane & Disaster Conference in Victoria this week.

Lee participated in a panel discussion, sharing VEA Health’s perspective on caring for patients during times of crisis and how we best support the communities we serve during disasters. Drawing from real-world experience, including our physicians’ work on the front lines during mass casualty events, the discussion focused on preparedness, response, and continuous improvement.
