When you passed away, who will be at your side? As loved ones that have already crossed over welcome you to your afterlife, who will be in that room with you, holding your hand, crying because they will miss you because you left such a deep impact on them that you can't imagine life without your existence? Is it your best friend? Your spouse? Surely it's not your favorite athlete or singer. Maybe it's someone that you grew up with loving unconditionally that has chosen a path that no longer coincides with yours. Maybe they're there because they know they caused you a lot of hurt and pain. Maybe this is their attempt at redemption or maybe their hail Mary attempt to reconcile just in case you wake up from a coma for 5 minutes. I think we could all agree that we've taken relationships for granted at times. Have you made your way around the room and found that one person that you begrudged so much that you couldn't even look at them? Forgiving is one of the hardest things we can do. Especially when someone leaves your life willingly without even letting you know. I guess relying on your own ability to mend your own wounds, get past heartache and live your life without being told by some doctrine or a teacher or your parents or your spouse how you should feel or how you should solve your problems makes us who we are.
