It took me two minutes to come back to myself. On a plane. In public. In the middle of everything.
After two months of sprinting (okay, more like juggling twenty things on a tightrope while making sure everyone else was steady on theirs) I was finally sitting still for the first time in what felt like forever.
People were shuffling past, carry-ons bumping overhead, pre-flight chaos all around me. And instead of scrolling or planning or running through my list, I just closed my eyes, took a few real breaths, and checked in with myself honestly for the first time in weeks.
Within minutes my joy started bouncing back. My creativity flowing again. That unmistakable feeling of landing back inside yourself after a long time away.
And I’m still a little in awe of that.
It didn’t happen because I’m special or because I have the secret. It’s simply because I’ve practiced this every single day for decades, and my system has learned the way home.
It’s looked different in every season. First deep belly breaths sneaked in at the office. Then gratitude journaling in my head before falling asleep. Then later deeper dives: retreats, certifications, ancient modalities that lit something up in me. And lately, quieter and steadier practices like nature walks, meditation, consistent inner work, and intentional living.
The practice doesn’t have to be elaborate or expensive. It just has to be yours and it has to be regular. Your body learns what you repeat. Your nervous system trusts what shows up consistently.
And one day, in the middle of a hard season, you find your way back to yourself in minutes.
If you haven’t found yours yet, that’s exactly what support is for.
If this resonates, welcome to your new favorite corner of the internet, where we cut through the chaos and come back to ourselves, together. ✨
