💉This sweet girl reminded me yesterday how small her lips were initially. She has been coming to me for a few years. I prefer to slow build collagen over time. It takes a commitment and you have to come back for several trips, but that is how you create beautiful volume without looking like a stuffed sausage.

🧓STATIC OR DYNAMIC WRINKLES: We all get wrinkles as we age to figure out the right treatment, its helpful to understand the two main types of wrinkles: dynamic and static.

💉Dynamic wrinkles form as a result of muscle movement (expressions) as well as from habitual movement (like vertical lip lines in smokers and crow's feet from squinting.

🤪When our facial muscles are contract over and over, the skin folds to accommodate. As we age, the skin doesnt bounce back as it does when we’re younger.

👵🏼Eventually, the dynamic wrinkles start to become more permanent. The most common dynamic wrinkles are across the forehead, crow's feet and between the eyebrows. *Early Botox can prevent this!*

❤️Static wrinkles are caused by gravity, the loss of fat, collagen and sometimes bone, as well as the loss of elasticity.

🧠These types of wrinkles are always there ( static).
Dynamic wrinkles eventually become static wrinkles.

🧴Wearing makeup with SPF is better than not wearing any sunscreen at all, but most SPF found in makeup usually only protects against UVB rays and not the damaging UVA rays.

☀️UVA rays go through your car and home windows, clouds and snow, causing significant damage to the skin. In fact, UVA radiation causes more aging and skin cancer than UVB. So, if your makeup isn't protecting you from UVA in addition to UVB, you're still at risk of prematurely aging. That's so not cool!

🌞The second issue with solely relying on makeup containing SPF is that there's just no way you are wearing enough of it to get the sun protection your skin needs. You'd need to layer on makeup as much as 15 times thicker than you'd typically wear it to actually protect your skin the way regular sunscreen does.

☀️The SPF found in makeup is mostly chemical. Physical sunscreen agents, like zinc oxide and titanium dioxide, are more challenging to incorporate into cosmetics, but are preferred for comprehensive skin protection.
