Now listen.. Y'all know I like to be transparent. This one - I'm taking for the team. It's embarrassing, but it's real.. and you need to know.
Swelling post operatively is not just a result of the surgical trauma. Oftentimes, what we eat and drink can have a significant impact.
Most days, I'm flat and fine... OK, well, I'm always fine, but that's another subject.
But when I eat or drink certain foods, I can immediately feel a shift in my body. I legit feel my tummy swelling, sometimes even with one or sips or bites.

If you and your clients pay attention to your body, it's easier to pick up on triggers. Create a journal of what you eat and drink and see how your body responds.
For me... items like
Coffee
Dairy products
Sugar
Bread/pasta
Gas producing vegetables like broccoli, onion, garlic
Beans
Carbonated beverages
Alcoholic cocktails (with fruit juice)
Symptoms typically last a few hours, then self resolves... unless you keep eating/drinking the same things of course
What are your triggers?
