🏥 During my time as a research fellow at BU's orthopedic department, and a year of preliminary surgery at Columbia University/Harlem Hospital Center, I witnessed the transformative power of gastroenterology and endoscopy in healthcare. The incredible advances in GI, like minimally invasive endoscopic procedures replacing major surgeries and the use of pills preventing unnecessary gastrectomies, inspired me to pursue gastroenterology with even greater determination. 💡
🎓 I continued my medical journey with a residency at St. As a chief medical resident, I conducted over 1500 colonoscopies, further reinforcing my dedication to gastrointestinal health. 🚀
💭 Listening to my patients, I realized the profound need for a different approach to gastro care in this country.
