Physical retreat and meeting space is located at The Writing Barn in Austin, TX USA.

Catch your breath, Before, as we loose light to winter solstice, all the holidays, the official new year, the start of winter & visit with artists & their work in a dreamy retreat setting. We glad to be here in community, sharing our humanity in our art.

We are pleased to host a meditation & journaling workshop in the Lotus Room this Sunday! Using the centuries-old Panca Maya model as our framework, you’ll explore layers of self, from the physical to the spiritual. You’ll sample a variety of meditation and journaling practices that help ground you in your physical body, deepen your understanding of thoughts and emotions, and access inner wisdom. We’re thrilled to host Sue Young and Rusty Nelson in concert this Saturday at Buddha Hall! 🎶

Sue Young’s pure voice and Rusty Nelson’s rough-edged vocals combine in a perfect blend. This Folk and Americana duo has been collaborating since 2010. Their songs evoke a simpler time: a drive down a country road, a wade in a creek, a ferry boat ride across the Mississippi river. They are making up for lost time after Rusty’s leukemia diagnosis in 2022, and successful stem cell transplant in 2023. They are very happy to be sharing their songs again with friends and fans. Indeed those who (yaṁ hi) are not distressed (na vyathayantyete) and are steady (dhīraṁ) equally in the sorry or happiness (sama-duḥkha-sukhaṁ) those great ones amongst men (puruṣharṣabha), they becomes eligible for liberation (saḥ amṛitatvāya kalpate). || Bhagavad Gita 2.15||
