ENT Allergy Center of Austin is a highly reputable medical practice in the Austin area. We are seeking a qualified, professional, efficient, and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our team. We have three locations: Westlake, Cedar Park and Round Rock. Your main locations will be Cedar Park and Round Rock. Mileage is reimbursed when travelling between both sites. MA's in the North location rotate between sites. You will not be expected to travel to Round Rock and Cedar Park every single day. This is a twice per week expectation that is shared and rotated with your teammates.

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assesses patient's general condition and takes vital signs and weight
- Appropriately maintains exam rooms for necessary supplies and materials
- Prepare medical supply inventory list
- Polite phone etiquette on a multi-line phone system
- Prepare, monitor, and maintain equipment
- Assists physician during treatment, examination, and testing of patients
- Educate patient/family about diagnostic procedures and protocol
- Greet patients and prepare them for physician examination
- Screen patients for appropriate information
- Instruct patients in collection of samples and tests
- Maintain/review patient records, charts, and other pertinent information
- Record tests and examination results in patient charts electronically
- Respond to/refer incoming treatment-related phone calls
- Maintain patient confidentiality
- Schedule referrals and tests
- Perform other related duties as directed or required
Qualifications: A high school diploma or equivalent. Certified Medical Assistant training is required. A minimum of one year of medical assistant experience in a primary care office or busy specialist office is also preferred. Candidates should be experienced in office-based programs and electronic medical records. The ability to multi-task and effectively communicate patient needs in a fast-paced medical office is a must. Organization, professionalism, great teamwork, and positive attitude are all attributes for a qualified candidate.
